From specification to installation
We work from architect drawings and detailed specifications, and we are used to the level of precision this requires. Our designers engage with a brief at whichever stage is most appropriate for the project, whether that is early in the design process to advise on what is achievable with timber, or later to produce scaled workshop drawings and a quotation against a finalised specification.
Everything is crafted in-house at our Somerset workshop by craftsmen who take genuine pride in their work. Construction methods are selected for both structural strength and durability, and nothing leaves the workshop until it meets the high standards we set for the Stuart Garden Architecture name. Our joinery expertise includes feature entrance doors, internal door sets, box sash and casement windows, and staircases, providing architects and construction companies with access to a wider range of bespoke timber work from a single, dependable source.
Proven on demanding commissions
Stuart Garden Architecture has worked on projects with significant structural and aesthetic demands. At the Old Henley Brewery development in Oxfordshire, working with main contractor Galliford Try Ltd, we manufactured, and installed circular and straight pergolas, a gatehouse, a stairwell shelter, and planters as part of a high-profile residential conversion. At Pinner Medical Centre in Middlesex, commissioned by ROK Construction, we manufactured, and installed a bridge and walkway for the main entrance.
We are skilled at working within construction programmes, collaborating with other trades, and maintaining the quality of our craft under the pressures that complex projects bring. Our install team conducts themselves professionally on site and are committed to clean, precise work throughout.

Our range spans bespoke pergolas, timber gates, garden screening, jointed trellis, timber planters, garden seating, arbours, gazebos, bridges, and porches, all available in natural or painted finishes and produced in the timber species most suited to the application. Every piece is bespoke and made to order. Samples, detailed drawings, and itemised quotations are available at any stage.
